답변이 늦었군요...

여기에서

1777 은 디렉토리 퍼미션인것 같군요..

즉, /var/spool/mail 디렉토리 퍼미션이 올바르지 않아
치명(?)적일 수 있다는 경고입니다.


# stat /var/spool/mail
...
Access: (0775/drwxrwxr-x)         Uid: (    0/    root)  Gid: (   12/    mail)
...
#

시스템에 따라서 다르게 설정되어 질 수는 있지만
일반적으로 위와같이

- 디렉토리는 0775
- USER : root
- GROUP : mail

입니다.

이렇게 설정되어 있지 않다면

# chmod 0775 /var/spool/mail
# chwon root.mail /var/spool/mail

이렇게 명령을 내려주세요...
